Obama, Biden to discuss climate change, cybersecurity, gun violence

Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and White House chief technology officer Adam Terrill will deliver the keynote address at the annual cybersecurity and technology conference at the National Press Club, an administration official said Tuesday.

The White House will also host the annual Cybersecurity Summit, which is set for Feb. 15, a White House official said.

Biden will also speak at the conference.

White House officials say the White House is exploring hosting a cybersecurity conference, and the White Houses National Economic Council will host a panel discussion on cybersecurity and the economy in January.

President Trump has been an outspoken supporter of cybersecurity, but has largely stayed mum on the issue, with only one White House tweet supporting the cybersecurity industry.
